Carlene is a single mum of 2 and has lived in South West Sydney (Campbelltown) for 42 years. With 27 years experience working for companies such as Toll Group, Sunbeam Corporation, BASF and Fuji Xerox, Carlene has held roles including Administration Manager, Customer Service Team Leader and Senior Production Planner and has studied through TAFE, Australian Institute of Management and University of Ballarat.
After becoming a mum, Carlene’s passion was all about being able to maintain a career doing what she loves most, but also being able to enjoy being a mum to her 2 children, and this the passion behind her launching her own business in 2015, South West Sydney Virtual Assistant – Carlene's dream is to support as many businesses within the Macarthur / South West Region of Sydney, but to also compliment her business with a team of local VAs to support our local economy.
Carlene also Volunteers as a local chapter host for Start Up Mum, supporting other local business mums in the Macarthur Region, by holding monthly meetings to network, support and inspire each other in a child friendly environment, and she also Volunteers as an Administrator on a local Community Noticeboard on Facebook with over 45000 members.

Carlene is the Immediate Past President on the Board of Campbelltown Chamber of Commerce
and was previously Vice President, Marketing Director and Secretary and has been on the board since 2017.

Carlene is also the Vice Chair of the Domestic Violence Charity, Escabags and sits on the Fundraising Committee as well.

Carlene is also involved in supporting micro businesses in the Macarthur Region with the support of Campbelltown City Council, facilitating workshops at council and assisting in organising a Micro Business Expo.
Things Carlene loves most in life are her children, escaping to the beach, cooking up a storm in the kitchen, an avid lover of reggae, rock and acoustic music and most importantly helping other local business mum’s achieve their goals with help through her business. Carlene is proud of her Maltese heritage as well and is hoping to one day take her family to the second place she calls home.
